Each of the subcats in this category has fewer than five entries. We could also add Gilda the Great and Murray the Mediocre, and probably some others, but it seems pointless to split them all up this way. Would it be okay to combine the subcats into the one category? -- Danny (talk) 16:09, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
- I think that makes perfect sense. The main reason I created it, especially with the CinderElmo stuff, is that even if they're in the Sesame Street universe, it seemed useful to make a distinction so as not to be misleading, and in particular, things like The Monkey King, which I frankly didn't want to stick between Linda and Monty. So merging works for me. Though Murray the Mediocre is technically a direct to video character. We'd decided awhile back that specials would only be TV stuff. For this category, do we want to drop that distinction? Or alternatively, now that a lot of illustrated characters and merchandise and so on are being lumped in the parent category, I guess we could just have them all be Sesame Street characters, but the fact that these, especially the humans, were never used again and tended to be isolated in a way from the larger "universe," seemed to make a seperate category worthwhile, at least for browsing. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 16:34, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
