I know I've been asking this question a lot lately, but is this a needed category, at least at the moment? We've been doing a lot of category cleanup and work on small articles, but there's quite a few categories floating with one to three articles or nothing. There's some, like Category:Unaired Sesame Street, which are finite, but came about because certain items would otherwise be unclassified (although, once I finally add the article on the divorce episode, I'm not sure whether or not it would be wiser to just add them all to one big article, especially since none of them are likely to have screengrabs any time soon). That's not the case here, and outside of Themes or Holidays, I don't think it looks good to mix character articles and show articles. I could see the category working if, say, Nick or someone intended to create detailed individual pages for the Sesame English video series. But I'm not sure if anyone is going to do so, at least not just yet, and a general list of videos can simply be put in the main article. So, thoughts? Andrew Leal (talk) 04:54, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- No, this should definitely be merged back in with the International categories. If I'd noticed it, I would have done that already. Jog created the Sesamstraat category because he was adding tons of information on the show -- characters, performers, albums, toys -- and it otherwise would have swamped the International categories. We created a Sesamstrasse category, because that also has a long history, although that category is yet to live up to its potential.
