Yvette Helin

"including making life size Muppet costumes at Henson Associates,"

Is this enough information about a person, to give them a page? Or should people only receive a page if we know specifically what they worked on? -- Zanimum 16:24, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Can you be a little less vague? Who are you talking about? Is Yvette Helin the person in question? What's the source? In what context is it presented? —Scott (talk) 17:00, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Nick got it from the Yvette Helin Studio "About" page, probably through a Google search, where it's randomly stuck in a career overview for Helin, with no other context or specifics. Since most of her other jobs were for parades and ice shows and such, and the emphasis on "life size", the implication is that these were for either the Sesame Street Live or Muppets on Tour stage shows or something along those lines. All of which I'd definitely say is way too vague to make an interesting or useful page at this stage. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 17:05, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
VEE itself creates all of the costumes for Sesame Street Live/Bear Live/etc, so it was something else. (I had thought that I had linked to the article, apparently I got distracted.) -- Zanimum 17:07, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
VEE didn't, Nick. Not unless they began in recent years; as is evident from the playbills, they were credited to a mix of Henson veterans and freelancers, always working with Henson, and without checking recent playbills, there's no real proof that the practice has changed. Check the credits for the early shows we have. Either way, it's rather useless right now. For any page on a puppeteer or designer, we need to have more than a vague "worked on Muppets" to go on; at the very least, a specific project title. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 17:11, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
I agree that a page for Yvette would be useless. But to clarify a point made here, I believe VEE makes all the costumes now. A fella named Andy used to frequent TP and talked about his time working on the more recent shows. I'll see if I can dig that up in case we need it sometime. —Scott (talk) 17:15, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Ah, here it is. And here's his website. —Scott (talk) 17:24, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
