I noticed that this category combines Sesame stuff, Muppet stuff, and even the read-alongs for Labyrinth and Dark Crystal. Should we split them apart, or leave them together? I feel we should split them up to match how the LP's are. What does everybody else think? -- Ken (talk) 18:31, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

I don't really like the idea of splitting this up, especially since a) they're multi-categorized in a way the albums aren't (as the plain book releases) and b) this would make for some tiny categories, since for example there's only one Fraggle Rock book and audio set. I think a discography is a better solution, which can be broken down as needed. While there's still plenty of examples we haven't added, this will never be as large as the album categories, so I don't think breaking into subcats would produce more than a reasonably large Sesame category and several tiny subcats or items which are hard to specifically categorize. -- Andrew Leal (talk) 23:31, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm working on starting a 7" SS book-and-record set discography, since the back of The Best of Oscar the Grouch lists the first 24 catalog numbers. I was just thinking that instead of putting all book and audio together, I would put the movie read-alongs in their movies' merchandise section to make them easier to find. I guess I'm still a little confused on when to make picture discographies, lists, or both. I guess we could keep this category list as it is, but I just wanted to maybe make some cross-references to other areas that items would qualify for. By the way, I can't find the Manhattan read along on the site. Is it here? -- Ken (talk) 00:02, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
If it's not in the category, we don't have it yet, so feel free to add it! And the movie read-alongs are already in their merchandise categories (or if they're not, they should be). That's a given, and I think all of us are in favor of cross-referencing or mult-categorization to make things easier to find. I'm just not in favor of creating individual "Muppet Movies Read-Along" categories or what have you, just for that, which would have between one and five entries or so, and I do think it's useful at a glance to see all the book and tape/record sets, regardless of type. I'd suggest finishing the Sesame discography, which could go here and under Sesame albums, and a seperate one which could list all the rest (Kermit/Muppet, Fraggle Rock, Creature Shop). -- Andrew Leal (talk) 00:09, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
