Carmelo Kiyan Anthony (b. 1984) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the New York Knicks. Since Anthony entered the NBA in 2003, he has became one of the well-known professional basketball players in the NBA league.

Anthony will appear on Sesame Street to explain the word "compare" in a Season 42 Word of the Day segment.
