Bruce Edward Hall (1954-2003) was a puppeteer and writer who performed periodically with the Muppets between 1983 and 1990. His most notable Henson project was Muppets Take Manhattan, performing Beth Bear and Masterson Rat. Other credits included puppeteering on the PBS series Whirligig and dual roles on Romper Room, as Up-Up and Kimble, from 1981 to 1994.

Hall, a seventh generation Chinese-American, later wrote several historical and occasionally fictional works about Chinatown and Chinese immigrants in the US, including Diamond Street: The Story of the Little Town With the Big Red Light District, and Tea That Burns. His final writing was the posthumously published children's book Henry and the Kite Demons.
