Graphic designer and half brother to musician Alf Cranner, Brian Cranner provided the illustrations for The Sesame Street Book & Record as well as for other album covers (e.g. Alf Cranner's 1995 "Kafe Kaos").
Born in Vancouver in 1927, Cranner was the son of a Canadian illustrator working under Randolph Hearst for the Toronto Star.
Cranner lived in Connecticut for many years, commuting to his graphic design studio in Manhattan.
He died in 2002 at the age of 75 in San Marcos, California. Cranner was survived by his wife Mary and four children, one of whom is now a writer for the CBS Studio in Hollywood.
