Bootsie and Brad are a pair of fashion dolls who appeared in recurring MuppeTelevision segments on The Jim Henson Hour. They are Barbie and Ken knock-offs who speak in exaggerated tones and recite dialogue written from an extremely sarcastic point of view. They're owned by a little girl named Amanda, and they live in a dollhouse where they come alive while she plays with them.
Bootise lives up an exotic lifestyle, with a large wardrobe and glamorous careers, while entertaining her clinging boyfriend, who worries about being forgotten. Like Barbie, Bootsie's exploits are not limited to modeling, and include becoming an astronaut and President of the United States.
