Bonjour Sesame, also known as Sésame or Rue Sésame, was the French-language dub of Sesame Street, produced for the Canadian market. In contrast to the occasional bilingual elements of Sesame Street Canada, this version was a fully dubbed package, translated into Québécois rather than the more formal French used in France.
It was one of several "Open Sesame" packages, translations targeted for nations as an alternative to full-coproduction, along with the French Bonjour Sesame and Sesamo Apriti, among others.
The series debuted over Radio-Canada in September, 1975, and was broadcast primarily in Montreal.
