"Blue Christmas" is a popular Christmas song. Orignally recorded as a successful country tune by Ernest Tubbs in 1948, it was a big hit for Elvis Presley when he recorded the song in a rock-and-roll style in 1960.

The song plays on the juxtaposition of the color blue, typically associated with sadness and representing the loneliness of the singer, against the more traditional and cheerful red, green, and white of Christmas.
