"Blue Bayou" was originally a hit for Roy Orbison and has been covered by many artists worldwide, including Linda Ronstadt, who performed the song in episode 523 of The Muppet Show. The number, which was introduced by the Swedish Chef, features Ronstadt backed by a chorus of frogs, Floyd Pepper, Janice, Animal, and Zeke.
Afterward, Waldorf admits that he thinks "that bayou number" was ok, leading Statler to concede that it was "ok by me if it's ok bayou."
