Blue Bayou was originally a hit for Roy Orbison and has been covered by many artists worldwide, including Linda Ronstadt. On episode 523 of The Muppet Show Linda performed the song against a recreated Louisiana bayou shack set, with musical backup by The Electric Mayhem.
