Bill Walsh

Captain Bill Walsh is a NYC firefighter, currently attached to Squad 41, and an occasional actor. In Sesame Street Episode 3981 (street scenes released on video as Elmo Visits the Firehouse), Walsh appeared as himself. He first explains to Elmo the functions of his uniform parts and equipment, and then takes Elmo and Maria on a tour of his firehouse.
Walsh served as a consultant on the drama Third Watch, which profiled firefighters, policemen, and paramedics, and had a minor recurring role as "Walsh," from 1999 until the series' end in 2005. He has also played small roles in other film and television productions, usually as firemen but sometimes as police officers, including Law & Order (as a paramedic), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (two episodes, as a fireman and a detective), and the films Freedomland (as a sheriff) and United 93 (as Newark supervisor).
