Bill Sherman is a songwriter and orchestrator whose work on the Broadway production of In the Heights resulted in a 2008 Tony Award for Best Orchestrations. In recent years, he has written songs for Sesame Street, including "What I Am" for Will.i.am. (First: Episode 4214) The song was nominated for a 2011 Daytime Emmy Award for the "Outstanding Original Song - Children's and Animation" category. He has also written music for the updated version of The Electric Company.
