Big and Little Stories is a Sesame Street storybook, published in 1982. The book contains six short stories.

Big Bird's Big Story

Big Bird takes the reader on a tour of Sesame Street, introducing some of the "big" things on the Street. Oscar the Grouch likes big messes, Mr. Snuffleupagus likes big bowls of spaghetti, Barkley likes big bones, and Cookie Monster likes big cookies. Big Bird likes to curl up in his big nest, and he likes big hugs from his Granny Bird.

The Birthday Cake

Ernie decides to make a really big cake for Bert's birthday, so he can invite everyone to the party.

The Amazing Mumford and His Magic Balloon Act

The Amazing Mumford and his rabbit assistant blow up a little balloon, and make it bigger.

Big and Small Story

Herry Monster, Bert and Betty Lou trade coats, so that they're not wearing clothes that are too big or too small.

Little By Little

An Anything Muppet boy is proud that he's growing bigger every day.

Betty Lou's Twiddlebug Story

Betty Lou thinks about what life would be like if she were a tiny Twiddlebug.
