Big Bird presents Hans Christian Andersen was released thirty years after Danny Kaye's famous 1952 film Hans Christian Andersen. Big Bird tells several of Andersen's most famous fairy tales, with an orchestra and choir performing the Frank Loesser songs from the film. Oscar is on hand to complain about everything, as usual.
