Big Bird Flies Alone is a 1989 Sesame Street storybook featuring Big Bird.
The story involves Big Bird taking a plane by himself to visit his Granny Bird. He's accompanied to the airport by Grover's Mommy who packs a birdseed snack for his flight and sees him off at the gate with Grover. Big Bird spends the flight befriending a flight attendant named Ms. St. Cloud, meeting the pilot, napping with Radar, and eating a hamburger Mrs. Monster ordered for him. When he lands, Big Bird shows his granny that he now has two pairs of wings: his own, and a special gold wing clip gifted to him by the pilot.
