Big Bird's Sesame Street Dictionary was a 1981 eight-volume collection reprinting the contents of the 1980 book, The Sesame Street Dictionary. Similar in concept to The Sesame Street Library and The Sesame Street Treasury, each volume covered specific letters.
Like the other series, new art by Joe Mathieu graced the inside covers (depicting a wide range of characters cavorting on the letters) and the end pages depicted Big Bird in conversation with Little Bird about the next volume's content. Each volume also included several pages of new illustrated material: two-page spreads providing detailed examples of specific words, activity pages, and poems.
