Best of the Muppets featuring The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, released in May 2005, was the first new Muppet album since Disney purchased the rights to the Muppets. It was released as a soundtrack to The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, and also included nine bonus tracks of previously released material from The Muppet Show.

Eight of the nine songs had also been featured on Music, Mayhem and More!, a CD released by Rhino Records in 2002. The only new, non-Oz song was "Halfway Down the Stairs."
