Bertha Beasley and Her Galloping Geese were scheduled to be the opening act on episode 120 of The Muppet Show until Valerie Harper, in a bid to get to perform the opening number herself, sabotaged Bertha by scotch-taping a bushel of birdseed to her body. Poor Bertha never made it to the theater, and Valerie sang "Broadway Baby" in her place.
