Beach Blanket Bingo is a 1965 film starring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon, the fifth film in AIP's Beach Party movie series of the 1960s. The film's title has been spoofed by the Muppets on a few occasions, which have actually been broader parodies of the beach movies as a whole.

• In The Muppet Show episode 202, Statler and Waldorf watch television from up in the balcony. At one point, Waldorf remarks that they are watching a movie titled "Beach Blanket Frankenstein".

• A fourth season episode of Muppet Babies is called "Beach Blanket Babies" and features Gonzo spoofing Beach Party series villain Eric Von Zipper.

• A movie parody poster, "Beach Blanket Beaker," can be seen on the walls outside of the theater playing Muppet*Vision 3D at Walt Disney World.

• The Elmo's World episode "the Beach" features an animated spoof of the "Beach Party" movies with "Beach Blanket Boogie", starring Crabette Funicello and Crabby Avalon.
