Barry Dennen (b. 1938) is an actor who supplied the voices of SkekSil the chamberlain and a Podling in The Dark Crystal. A veteran of stage and screen, Dennen originated the role of Pontius Pilate in the Broadway production of Jesus Christ, Superstar, reprising the role for the film. Other musical cerdits include Mendel in the film version of Fiddler on the Roof and the emcee in the original West End version of Cabaret.

Movie credits include small roles in John Landis' Trading Places (with Frank Oz and Richard Hunt), Shock Treatment, The Shining, Superman III, Ragtime, and Titanic. On television, Dennen played Fred, a British-accented Mexican, on a two-parter from the 60s Batman series, and portrayed Adolf Hitler in an episode of Wonder Woman. His voice-over resume includes parts on Animaniacs (guest starring as Czar Nicholas), Galtar and the Golden Lance, Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond, multiple roles in Star Trek video games, and the Law & Order: Criminal Intent PC game.
