Banana Nose Maldonado is a green Whatnot Muppet who played the villain in the Bear on Patrol sketch in episode 505 of The Muppet Show. He has a banana for a nose. When asked how he got such a ridiculous name, he replied "My parents were Mr. and Mrs. Maldonado."

An animated version of the character appeared in the "Kermit the Frog, Private Eye" segment in the Little Muppet Monsters pilot.

An illustrated version of the character made a brief cameo in issue #4 of Muppet Snow White.

Reference

The character's name is an apparent reference to Robert Anton Wilson's 1975 Illuminatus! trilogy, which has a mobster character named Don Federico "Banana Nose" Maldonado.
