BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat is the channel's flagship news program, which is specifically targeted to a youth audience. Their shorter bulletins are broadcast throughout the day.

Miss Piggy appeared on the show in November 2007, to promote the DVD release of The Muppet Show: Series 2. She talked with chief entertainment reporter Natalie Jamieson.
