• The original Kermit the Frog balloon for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was constructed in 1977 at the Goodyear plant in Rockmart, GA.

• A scene set in Kermit's Swamp from The Muppet Movie was filmed in Georgia.

• Atlanta, GA has the Center for Puppetry Arts where the Henson family donated 300 to 500 muppets and props. The exibit opens in 2012. ^[1]
