Anybody Can Play is a 1980 Sesame Street storybook featuring Ernie and Bert.
Bert is upset that he can't go outside due to the pouring rain. Ernie shows him how much fun staying inside on a rainy day can be. Bert doesn't believe there is any fun inside, but after a number of activities, he begins enjoying himself -- so much so, that he continues to play inside even after the rain has stopped.
Grover, Barkley and Betty Lou all stop by, though neither Bert nor Ernie seem to notice.
Other editions
Reissued in 1992 with the same text and ISBN, but new illustrations by Tom Cooke. In the reissue, Betty Lou is replaced by Prairie Dawn.
Book and audio editions
The book and audio edition is read by Caroll Spinney in character as Big Bird, although he doesn't appear in the story itself. The Golden Story book and tape from 1988, Big Bird is replaced with a woman reading with the voices of Jim Henson as Ernie & Frank Oz as Bert.
