Anthony is an orange-brown cockroach-like monster who wore a suit and glasses. He and his wife Fern appeared in the sketch Hurting Something of The Jim Henson Hour.

Like Cookie Monster, the puppet is built with a hole in the back of its mouth to give the appearance of eating on camera.

Anthony also made a cameo on The Cosby Show, where he was referred to as Mr. Rudd.

The puppet used for this character was later recycled as Professor Hugh Mungous in the Mopatop's Shop episode, "The Bigulator".
