Another Sunny Day was written for the Sesame Street Live! show "Out of this World. It is a song used on Sesame Street "about three years ago", before it was written about in 2006. It is considered a "continuation" of the theme song, about how "even an ordinary day can be an extraordinary one."
The song was the official theme of the Sesame Street float in the 2006 Macy's Day Parade.
