"Another Sunny Day" was written for the Sesame Street Live show Out of This World. It is considered a "continuation" of the theme song, about how "even an ordinary day can be an extraordinary one."

The song was the official theme of the Sesame Street float in the 2006 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
