Jim Henson's Animal Jam was produced in 2002. The show is designed to be "interactive," and encourages viewers to get up and dance along with the characters. The show is hosted by Muppet characters Edi and Waffle. The puppets were designed by Ed Eyth. Premiering in February 2003 on the TLC network, Animal Jam was the last TV series to be launched in the U.S. by the Jim Henson Company (although the company has produced and aired two made-for-TV Muppet movies since that time). The original 30 episodes of Animal Jam continue to run on Discovery Kids network in the U.S., and ABC in Australia. Several episodes have been released on DVD.
