Andrea Detwiler hails from Richmond, Virginia and first started out as a freelance builder and wrangler for the Jim Henson Muppet Workshop before more recently taking on a more active role as one of the main builders/designers working on Sesame Street, receiving multiple Emmy nominations in the process.

She has been credited for Jim Henson's Muppet Workshop on Bear in the Big Blue House and Make Music Together, and served as a puppet wrangler for an appearance by Kermit on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
