Amin Jensen

Amin Jensen (b. January 22, 1970). A Danish stand up comedian that voiced various characters on Sesam, luk dig op, Elmers Verden, Glædelig Jul, Elmer and Elmo I Surmuleland.
He was virtually unknown in 1993 when he appeared on stage for the first time in a stand-up comedy show on "Dins´s" in Copenhagen. In 1994, he voiced his first cartoon, and has been widely used in voice-over work since. His dubbing credits include Toy Story 2, Shrek in Shrek and Shrek 2, Stitch in Lilo and Stitch, President Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Simpsons Movie and many others.
In 1994, he worked on a handful of television shows as the audience warm-up comic. He performed his first major one-man show, called 150 kg over bæltestedet, in 1998. His first foray into television hosting came in 2000 with the show Hit med Sangen, the Danish adaptation of the Irish show The Lyrics Board, on DR since then, he has hosted several shows on television. In 2006 he released a country & western album called It Feels Right.
Trivia
- Amin Jensen is not the only host of international versions of The Lyrics Board that have voiced Sesame Street characters. The host of the Swedish version (Så ska det låta), Peter Harryson voiced Ernie on Svenska Sesam.
