In 2005, ABC ordered 1 full script, and 5 episode outlines for review before giving the final go-ahead on America's Next Muppet. If picked-up, the TV series will be produced by The Jim Henson Company for Disney, and is titled as a parody of reality show America's Next Top Model. The show is going to feature many famous Muppets holding a talent contest to find the next Muppet to add to their famous group. The show is tentatively scheduled to air in spring or summer of 2006.

The show will use the classic Muppet characters, such as Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and Gonzo in a reality TV-shows spoof.
