Amber MacArthur, who often goes under the name Amber Mac, is a Canadian media journalist. Perhaps best known for internationally broadcast television series Call for Help, MacArthur is the author of Power Friending, and currently hosts or cohorts television series Appcentral and Webnation, web-based programs CommandN and GirlsGoGeek, and TWiT Network program net@night. She is a writer for The Globe and Mail, a national Canadian newspaper.

For a 2011 episode of App Central, she interviewed Elmo, when he and Kevin Clash were in town for the Toronto premiere of documentary feature Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey. In conjunction with the interview, MacArthur recommended the app Elmo's Monster Maker on Parents Club, a blog run by a former associate.[1]
