All About Sesame Street is a non-fiction book that details the formation of the Children's Television Workshop, the creation of Sesame Street, and the impact it has had on education, television, and American culture in general during its first year on the air. It also deals quite extensively with critisicm of the show, and the Workshop's responses to that criticism. Sections are also devoted to future plans for special versions of Sesame Street to be aired in other countries, as well as efforts to merchandise the characters without giving into commercialism. The book includes 16 pages of black and white pictures of the cast and crew.
