Alexander Pola (1914-1992) was a Dutch actor and director who played Mr. Brouwer on Sesamplein, the pilot for the Dutch co-production of Sesame Street.

Brouwer is a jolly old man who works at the grocery store, evidently a Dutch counterpart to Mr. Hooper. Sometimes he tends to be a little confused, and offers the letter T instead of actual tea. He has a fondness for apples.

Alexander Pola was his pseudoneme. His real name was Abraham Polak and he was one of the stars and writers of the satirical show Farce Majeure. He only appeared in the Sesamplein pilot episode as an actor and voice (dubbing the clam in "Octopus' Garden"), and was never a part of the actual Sesamstraat series
