Alan Rafkin (1923 - 2001) was a film and television director who helmed the Puppetman pilot in 1987.

Rafkin's credits include several movies starring Don Knotts, including The Ghost and Mr. Chicken and How to Frame a Figg, and the sitcoms The Bob Newhart Show, Coach, Veronica's Closet, and M*A*S*H.
