In A Visit to the Sesame Street Museum, Maria's cousin Donna takes Bert, Ernie and Grover on a visit to the museum that she works at. Bert is excited by the prospect of seeing a moon rock. He soon learns, however, that there's much more to see and do at a museum.
This book includes a note to parents stating that "a museum can stimulate your child's intellectual curiosity and imagination, opening the way to the excitement of discovery." It goes on to say that "Don't worry that some exhibitions may seem too sophisticated. Children respond at their own level of comprehension; they are not intimidated by new knowledge."
