A Poem by Rowlf is a recurring sketch on The Muppet Show that featured Rowlf the Dog reciting an original poem, while other Muppets interrupted his performance.

The sketch appeared twice in the first season, on episodes 108 and 120. Like the Talking Houses, however, the segment was quickly dropped and made no further appearances on The Muppet Show.

Rowlf's poem about silence is overwhelmed by a variety of other, noisier Muppets, including Miss Piggy, Scooter, Zoot, Janice, Animal, Wanda, George the Janitor and Ohboy Bird. At the end of the sketch, Rowlf shoos them all off, and finishes the poem with the word peace. Just as he is about to relax in silence, Kermit comes onstage and tells Rowlf to quiet down, since they're doing a show. Rowlf breaks out crying as Kermit leaves.
