AFI's 100 Years... 100 Stars was a TV special which aired on CBS in 1999. Presented by the American Film Institute, the special accompanied the institute's latest list, compiling the 100 greatest film stars as chosen by members.

The special combined clips with brief comments from celebrities about the star in question. Miss Piggy (played by Frank Oz) is featured at various times, appearing in a library setting surrounded by film reference books. She offers her succinct assessments of such classic Hollywood actresses as Shirley Temple ("She was so sweet, so upbeat, so young.... [with rising jealousy] for so long!"), Mae West ("She was... moi, even before moi was moi."), Grace Kelly ("She married a prince. Not bad!") and Joan Crawford ("Everything about Joan Crawford was big, you know? Her talent, her stardom.... her shoulders.")

Other celebrity commentators included Alec Baldwin, Jim Carrey, Chevy Chase, Cher, Geena Davis, Clint Eastwood, Mia Farrow, Bridget Fonda, Morgan Freeman, Whoopi Goldberg, Jeff Goldblum, Gregory Hines, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Michael Keaton, Jack Lemmon, Marlee Matlin, Liza Minnelli, Mike Myers, Lynn Redgrave, Julia Roberts, and Lily Tomlin.
