• ABC TV special Out to Lunch focused on the characters of Sesame Street and The Electric Company taking over the journalism department.
• Many Muppets have appeared on morning show Good Morning America.
• Abby Caddaby of Sesame Street was set to appear on ABC World News Tonight as "Person of the Week" on August 11, 2006, but due to other news events this appearance was rescheduled for August 18, 2006. She is the first Muppet to earn the honor "Person of the Week", possibly the first non-human.
