1, Rue Sésame was the original French Sesame Street co-production which premiered on January 4, 1978.
The show included three French Muppets: Toccata the Albatross, Mordicus the saxophone-playing Grouch and Trepido the Snail.
The series was executive produced by Michel Berthler from TF1 and Lutrelle Horne from CTW.
The show has more recently been revived as 5, Rrue Sésame.
