Álvaro Tarcicio in La dinastía de Dracula

Álvaro Tarcicio (1934-1999) was a Mexican voice actor who dubbed Fozzie Bear (renamed Figaredo) on El show de los Muppets, in the original dub of The Muppet Movie, and in Los Muppets Toman Nueva York (The Muppets Take Manhattan). He was also heard in the original Mexican dubs of Labyrinth (as Hoggle) and El Cristal Encantado (the General).

Tarcicio was the Spanish voice of Popeye in the Hanna-Barbera series and in redubs of the original shorts, as well as Skeletor on He-Man (even dubbing Frank Langella in the Masters of the Universe film). He dubbed similar villain or irritable authority figure roles including Juggernaut and Apokalips on X-Men, J. Jonah Jameson on the nineties Spider-Man, Governor Wetworth on The Snorks, Jenner in The Secret of NIMH, and Captain Hook on the Peter Pan anime. He voiced the salesman frog in the Mexican animated feature Katy la Oruga (Katy the Caterpillar) and Hans Moleman on The Simpsons.

Tarcicio's live-action assignments included dubbing Bubba Smith in the Police Academy movies, Pat Hingle in Batman, and Arthur Malet as Mr. Dawes, Jr. in Mary Poppins. For television, he often dubbed sidekicks or other principal supporting roles, including Dana Elcar on MacGuyver, Victor French on Highway to Heaven, Michael Conrad on Hill Street Blues, Ted Lange on The Love Boat, and Jack Colvin on The Incredible Hulk. He appeared on-camera occasionally, as in the 1980 film La dinastía de Dracula (as a comandante during the time of the Spanish Inquisition).
