Ăbrete SĂ©samo was the first international dub of Sesame Street, debuting on Spanish national television in 1974.
The show featured a mixture of Muppet segments, cartoons, and street scenes, but no original material.
The Spanish names given to Muppet characters included Blas (Bert), Epi (Ernie), Triki (Cookie Monster), Conde Draco (Count von Count) and Gustavo (Kermit).
The show was replaced in 1979 with a Spanish co-production, Barrio Sésamo.
Merchandise included a soundtrack album and âfinger puppets.
